WHERE IS YOUR MOM?

So my mom keeps asking me what my kids are doing while I am in my room transcribing so I decided I would show her just a little bit.
Dont these faces look inocent. NOT! These were taken when they stole my camera. They are 2 peas in a pod, always helping the other one to make a bigger mess or get into a little bit more trouble. I am seriously considering keeping Bodie out of school for an extra year so they won't be so close in grade level. Gotta love those big brown eyes and cheesy smile.

So here we go mom. This is just a LITTLE peek into what the family room looks like while I am trying to work. I do not think that they played with any of it. They just like to dump buckets out and look at all the neat piles. Aren't they pretty. Look how well organized they all are. Blocks, markers, doll things, lids to buckets, a measuring cup, Oh no! Why is there a measuring cup in here? So, my kids sometimes escape from the family room. I have found them outside in the backyard scaling the fence. Yes, even Bodie. They have it down now where Amree climbs the fence and unlocks it and then they both go through. Oh wait, they all 3 go. through.

Yes, the dog is never far behind those two but she is long gone once they set her freeeeee! There favorite place to be is the front although they are not allowed in the front without a big person. They like to ride their trikes or visit with a neighbor. My poor neighbors. Sometimes they play in the hot tub which is right out my door so I can keep my eye on them, kind of. Yes, a few times they have dumped sand in the hot tub and I have gotten in trouble from Blaine but what is he going to do spank me. It kind of sounds fun. They love the sandbox. They can spend hours out there with a hose. Cleanup is fun.
This is why there is a measuring cup in the family room. It looks like Bodie had one too many Coco Roos for snack time. Yes, snack time, no apples here. Most of the time I try to pick the snacks but it looks like today they did. Oh mom look a book is on the floor. Maybe that means one of them was actually looking at it. They are such great kids. =)
Well, after a long hard day of making messes for mom to help clean up and me getting nothing done at all because I am chasing them all the time, everyone retires to their bedrooms. Bodie, Amree, and Brittin usually look like this and Bryn, that is me, is in my room typing away trying to get my work done for the day just to start over again tomorrow. I love you mom. Hope you appreciate this.

They are still alive. I AM A GOOD MOM, I AM A GOOD MOM, I AM A GOOD MOM.

If I keep tellimg myself this I might actually believe it. This is dedicated to all those moms out there who are trying to multi task in life without having to be taken to the insane asylum.

Ahhhhhh, the good old days!! I remember...Thanks for the peak into REAL life--Hope all poisons and medications are locked up. How can you concentrate???? Believe me, these days will pass as quickly as the "infant days" and then you will miss your children and all the fun and entertainment, not to mention the love, hugs and kisses. Enjoy while you can:)

Oh Bryn love the new background!! I am sorry I am not closer to help out and take the kids every once in awhile, I would love to take those two for a day! I know Hallie would love the entertainment! I know this is what is in store for me in about 10 years, then I will be calling you still and asking your advice on everything! You truly are supermom and I love you tons!

Ok, your mom is in trouble. Her comment made me cry. Thanks alot Becky! As my kids are smack dab in the middle of their VERY difficult teenage years, I reflect OFTEN on their youth and our time now and I hope, even when things are rough, that I ALWAYS appreciate them because I know they will leave all too soon.

I loved your post, Bryn. I have to admit, I really appreciate it because sometimes (lots of times) I am so envious of you because I think you are a superhuman. Your home is immaculate, your children are immaculate, your organizational skills are off the charts. Thank you for showing me that I am not alone in trying to remind myself that "I'm a good mom, I'm a good mom..." By the way, YOU are a FANTASTIC MOM! I love ya!!! Thanks for what a wonderful example you are to me.

I am so happy to see this! Please tell me that they do this to the rest of your house too? I am really looking forward to looking back on these days and remembering them fondly. In the meantime I will follow your example and repeat "I am a good mom...." till I believe it! I think you are amazing!
